Over the past 10 years, Laumont has been pleased to print Christopher Beane’s remarkable images in Cibachrome and Fujiflex editions.  We would like to announce his participation in Art Miami, taking place this week in Florida.  Beane will be exhibiting photographs from his analog film archive depicting orchids and other botanicals in all of their sensuous and shimmering beauty.

 
The vibrant images on view juxtapose nature with contrived abstraction, conveying a layered digital effect.  By combining his classic photographic skills with conceived pre-exposure, Beane emphasizes color and intrigue to create fictitious atmospheres for his subject matter.

Beane’s photographs will be displayed at Art Miami 2012 with Jim Kempner Fine Art.  Three pieces from the “Tutti Frutti” series along with images from his “Camouflage” and “Ranunculi” series’ will be on view in the gallery’s booth.  The Art Miami 2012 fair runs from December 5th through December 9th.

In addition to the fair, Christopher Beane will have a solo exhibition at Jim Kempner Fine Art in Chelsea, opening March 7th through April 13, 2013.  The gallery is located at 501 West 23rd Street in New York.
