Conceptual photographer Milagros de la Torre is speaking at the School of Visual Arts as part of the i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration lecture series. Free and open to the public on Tuesday, October 22, at 7PM.
One of the preeminent contemporary photographers working today, de la Torre’s haunting images hang in the permanent collections of some of the biggest museums in the world, including El Museo del Barrio, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museo de Arte Carillo Gil in Mexico City.
Milagros de la Torre has worked closely with Laumont’s scanning, retouching, and printing departments over the past year on various projects. Most recently, she printed several photographs from her Bulletproof series with one of our master printers.
